I did not post one day as I was busy entertaining my friends and seeing them off to their trip to Paris.
The final day of their visit, we were able to see the Capitole, the city hall. This building is not open to the public every day as it holds official functions and weddings on a regular basis. You have to take the opportunity to visit when it is open. It seems Wednesday is a good day to visit but not sure why.

After that we went shopping, Barbara wanted to pick up some gifts for family and friends. I took them to various shops and she found what she wanted.
As a respite, as neither Barbara or Emily, are super mobile, we stopped at a cafe and I had my first crepe for all my time here in France. It was light, simple and good.

For the final diner, we went to Le Panache which as usual was nice. Enzo and Ervim were very kind and nice to Emily and Barbara which was nice.
The next morning, I met them at the hotel and accompanied them to the train for Paris. They were able to get tickets on the TGV directly from Toulouse to Paris which was great. I am not sure they could have handled having to change trains with their luggage and mobility. I heard later from them that they made it to Paris and the hotel in Paris which was good.
After they left, I did some grocery shopping as I had run out of breakfast items and had not gone shopping while I had visitors. I found fresh raspberries or 1 euro per container. Raspberries are one of my favorite things so was glad to find them. I am guessing it is raspberry season somewhere in France as they are usually not available and, if available, are much more expensive.
I did my usual Thursday lunch at Terra Tolosa. They had changed around the menu which was nice. The menu is usually three options for starters and main courses, so I can usually have a different one each time as they change it fairly regularly. There have been a couple of times where I had to repeat an option before the menu changes.
The best thing on this menu was bleu cheese with pears, walnuts, and a pear compote with some endive. The flavors and textures went very well together. I would not mind eating that starter again.

The main was a very nice herbed chicken breast with vegetable. Dessert was a take on Sable Breton. Sable Breton is a short cake that is used as a base for different items. As with most of Terra Tolosa’s dessert except for the traditional financier cake, they are deconstructed. This had nice cream with lemon and lime flavoring.

In the evening, I did a nice run with Run in Toulouse. Elliot was there and it was nice to catch up with him. His interview with Snapchat went well so he was happy. He has a number of follow-up interviews so there is hope that he will be offered the job. The job is based in Vienna and I am not sure he is keen on moving to Vienna.

After some rainy days, the evening was lovely. The skies and scenes at night are one of the reasons I love Toulouse so much.

It was fun having Emily and Barbara visit but I am glad to be back to normal life.
