Another day of entertaining visitors

After reading in the morning and getting ready, I headed over to the hotel to meet Emily and Barbara. We had lunch reservations at Perlostrea, a seafood restaurant. Barbara had said that she wanted to eat oysters and other crustaceans. I had walked by Perlostrea and knew they had seafood towers so thought it would be a good choice.

They did have seafood towers but Barbara was not as adventurous as I thought she would be. She ended up have oysters and shrimp. I went for a little more adventure as I had the oysters, shrimp and bulots. I definitely love the crustaceans and probably would have had others but I was not super hungry.

Emily who is definitely not an adventurous eater stuck to Fish and Chips.

After lunch, we walked back to the hotel. Emily and Barbara are not really up to more than one activity that requires walking a day. I did get a nice cup of chocolat chaud – hot chocolate. It is one of my favorite things about Toulouse – good hot chocolate.

In the evening, I got back to my routine as I ran with Run in Toulouse. The day had been grey and cool with slight sprinkles but the evening turned out lovely and was great for running. It was good to be back in the run activity.

After the run, I met Barbara and Emily at the hotel for a light supper and an Aperol Spritz.

I was surprised as when the bread was put on the table, it had butter with it. I had never seen butter served with bread except when you are eating oysters. Not sure why butter is thought to be good with oysters. The butter with the bread at the hotel did surprise me.
