Since I knew they were doing further activities for the Ascension Day holiday, I wandered around the center of the city. I found an orchestra playing pop tunes.
Further in my wanderings I saw some more of the circus like activities. They have a lot of these animated types of groups. I saw them a number of times on previous trips. It is fun to see their street performances. One of the entertainers saw me filming and came right up to me and focused on my phone.
The weather has not been ideal the last couple of days. It has been unseasonably cold and rainy. The wind has been strong as well. I had thought of taking my heavier coat home when I went last week but decided to keep it here as I plan on going to Andorra up in the Pyrenees next weekend. I am glad I kept it here as I needed it over the last couple of days. I took advantage of the colder weather and had a hot chocolate at one of my favorite cafes, Mows, to warm up after wandering the streets.

For dinner, I returned to my usual Friday evenings at La Panache. It was fun to see Ervim and Enzo after missing a week. They do make me feel welcome and the food is definitely good.

We had a nice Burgundy white wine. It is chardonnay which I tend not to like (California style) but this was very good. It must be all stainless as it was not oaky and buttery. It was crisp and minerally. I could be wrong about how it is aged but it was definitely good.

For dessert, Enzo’s parents had left Beaufort cheese for me. It is the cheese they introduced me to and I really enjoy. It was very nice of them to do that for me.

Another excitement for me is that it is the start of cherry season here in France. I love cherries so it is nice to get them here. I will eat a lot before I head back.

Even with the cold weather, it is fun to be back wandering the city and enjoying what it has to offer.
