2023 has changed my life in some significant ways. So it is time for a new chapter. The first part of that new chapter is new experiences for Christmas. As I do not have my usual place to go for Christmas, I decided to have a new adventure. I am going to Verona Italy for the Christmas season. I lived for 3 years (ages 5-8) in Verona Italy and decided that returning there for my first Christmas without family would be both nostalgic and memorable.

I have very fond memories of the atmosphere and activities that take place during Christmas in Verona and want to experience them again. There was the Santa Lucia festival, the arena lit up, the Christmas markets and other festive activities.

One of my memories is of a pastry that we would get at the Piazza delle Erbe called a bomboloni. I am hoping that they are still available and it will be my first stop after checking into my hotel when I arrive in Verona.
