Fun Day

The day started with me getting up and running. Not my usual run activity but I was going to miss the Run in Toulouse group as I have people visiting today and was planning to show them around and have dinner with them.

I ran along the banks of the Garonne out to the Parc de Garonne. Running out was good but coming back was difficult as there was. 15 mile an hour wind with gusts up to 24 mph. The path along the banks of the Garonne is not protected so the wind blows right of the river.

I have always thought of the Parc de Garonne as my nemesis as I have rarely if ever followed the right trail for what I wanted to do. There are multiple circuits around the parc and I always mess up and get off the track. This time was a first as I headed off on one path not sure it was the right one but it took me directly where I wanted to go and was able to make the 3 km loop of the parc. A famous first for me.

After the run and late breakfast, I met Pamela and Kimberly for their lunch and for me a glass of wine. Pamela is a friend of Vanessa Moore. Pamela has a business running wellness retreats and coaching. Pamela is planning to hold some of the retreats in France. When we first met the idea was for me to do some research on venues that she had picked out. Pamela’s business is Echelon Rising (echelonrising.org).

Pamela instead decided to make an impromptu trip to France to scout the locations and meet her daughter in Paris. Kimberly accompanied her on the trip.

They had lunch at Cafe Bibnet on the Place de Capitole – a historic bistro in Toulouse. After the lunch we headed out and visited the Convent of the Jacobins and Saint Sernin.

The final part of the day was dinner at Le Panache. As usual it was wonderful. Enzo was great! Jean Louis made us shrimp tartar as a starter. I was bad and did not take a picture of it.

All in all a good day!
