I was a little under the weather this past weekend. I had a cold and so decided to take it easy. It was also cold and wet so thought staying in was the best plan.
It did give me time to contemplate what I wanted to do my last week here before I head back in Alexandria. When I say the last week here, it is on this trip not for life. All things being equal (which is the plan) I will return to Toulouse in March.
I did have to do regular life maintenance and went to Victor Hugo for food for Sunday and Monday. I love the shopping at the market. It is always lively on Sunday even in the bad weather. I got my usual food, Pintade, fish, fruits and vegetables and jambon. I will miss market shopping when I return to Alexandria.

I have found a butcher in Alexandria, The Cut, which sells meat, seafood and poultry but is definitely more expensive than here in Toulouse. I am willing to pay more to get the good quality. I also have to drive to get there which is definitely a change from Toulouse.
I have made reservations for dinners on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday so I can hit my favorite places before I leave. This also helps with not over buying food that will go to waste if I do not use it before I leave.
Friday will always be Le Panache. That is my go to place and will not change the plan. I am going there for Tuesday lunch as well.

Saturday will be Terra Tolosa. I am having my regular Thursday lunch there as well. It will be only my second dinner there but the first was great so I am looking forward to a second.

Sunday is La Braiserie. I have only eaten at this restaurant twice, one lunch and dinner when Jesse and Jen were here. It is a steak restaurant which is not necessarily by go to choice but it was very good the night I was there with Jesse and Jen. The other plus is it serves foie gras and I want another meal with foie gras before I head back to the U.S. where it is not served.

Monday is Reflets. This has become one of my go to restaurants. The food is very creative and the staff is very nice. It is also open on Monday when most restaurants are not. Since Monday is the last day, I need to go out to dinner as the apartment will be cleaned and everything will be packed up.

The other plan is to go shopping for Christmas presents. The Christmas market opens on Thursday evening so I will have a couple of days to shop there and other places to get gifts to take back. I have salt, coffee, tea, Christmas ornaments, and other options to choose from here in Toulouse.
I have two runs left which will make me happy. I like the Run in Toulouse great.

Other things on my list is another an Aperol Spriz at La Reserve, chocolate chaud at Cocoafuges, visiting the Covent of the Jacobins, 1st Sunday of Advent at St. Sernin and just my regular wandering Toulouse.

This is a list of my favorite things as the song goes from the Sound of Music.
