It snowed last night but very briefly and none of it stuck to the ground. It happened while I was at dinner at Le Panache. Enzo came into the bar area with a smile on his face and il neige – its snowing. I went out and took a quick picture – you could not really see the snow but could feel it. It did not last long and the only indication was wet pavement.
I would imagine that Toulouse is lovely when it snows (which I understand is rarely) as the old buildings and lighting would make it quite romantic.
Last night, as usual, was a great night at Le Panache. Enzo’s parents were at the bar so I sat with them and we had a great conversation. We shared wine and food.
I learned Enzo’s father’s birthday is next month and Enzo and his sister are taking his parents to Rome for three days to celebrate. It is a family only vacation so it is only Enzo, his sister and parents – not boyfriends or girlfriends.
Also, Enzo and Morgan are coming to New York in January. I told them to contact me and I would try to come up and see them when they are in New York. It would be fun to see them in the city. I will need to send them some information of things to see and where to go.
The food as usual was very good. There were a couple of new things on the menu and I tried both. The shirk gyoza were great. They were served in a curry sauce.

The other dish was breaded sardines. I love sardines so I tried it. They were good but I definitely prefer grilled sardines. Enzo’s father even said that the sardines were not as good as the gyoza.

I bought a bottle of wine to share with Enzo’s parents and tried something that was new on the wine list.

Ervim was great as usual. I love his sense of humor and just personality. He jokingly calls me Peter Parker.
I will miss my little Le Panache community. But as Enzo’s father said, we will rendezvous in March!
