Regular Saturday

I was a little lazy today. I read books which is always good for me.

I did do a little laundry which broke my cycle but I did a load of my Merino shirts and pants. I figured I would do them on Saturday as I have to lay them flat to dry and could use my bed for drying them. I did that until I went to bed and then moved them to the sofa in the living room, a new way of drying. Laundry is always an adventure.

For dinner, I went to Le Petit Marais. This had been one of my go to restaurants in my spring visit. I like it as it is small and Gabriel, the server is very nice and fun to talk to. The food is not the best but it is very reasonable price.

I tried something new tonight. I had Toulouse saussicon. This is a sausage that is very traditional to Toulouse. I had never tried it before. I see it at Maison Garcia in the Victor Hugo but have never bought it because I did not really know how to cook it. It was interesting but did not have a great deal of flavor. It was cooked in shallot sauce with gave it some flavor.

The main course was Demi magret – it is half a duck breast. It was very well cooked and had good flavor. The accompaniment was roasted potatoes and carrots.

Dessert was Crème brûlée. It was good and one of my favorite desserts.
