Since I broke my routine on Tuesday, I had to do some shopping on Wednesday so I would have vegetables for dinner tonight. I walked over to the Victor Hugo market and bought some fresh peas. I am getting my quota of peas while here in Toulouse as I generally cannot get peas in the pod in Alexandria. It does bring back childhood memories when I shuck the peas out of the pods. The peas are definitely fresh and delicious.

I tried a different type of baguette today. A baguette de auverenge. I am not sure what makes it different from the traditional baguette but it costs 0.10 euros more than a traditional baguette. I really liked it so it might become my go to baguette. Again, not sure why it is different and do not have the language skills to ask so I am going to just enjoy it.

For the afternoon as it was beautiful, I did more walking – making sure I get my 10,000 steps every day. I stopped at La Reserve for a beer and reading as it was a fantastic afternoon to just enjoy the weather at a cafe and do my reading.

The interesting part was there was a small fashion shoot that started while I was in the cafe. It took place all around me but the group doing the shoot did not ask me to move. They even apologized for disturbing my peace. There were two photographers, a model, and it seemed two stylists. They had photos which they used as references to have the model in specific outfits. This was all done while the cafe was open and the servers were serving people. Luckily, the cafe was not very busy so it really did not disturb the business very much. It was fun to watch as they did their thing. The camera was attached to a laptop and the stylists could look at the pictures immediately and make changes to poses and the way the clothes were styled immediately. I am guessing the shoot was for something local but do not really know.

After the photo shoot, the bartender was doing tricks with alcohol bottles and shakers. Sone of the servers was filming him as he did his tricks with her phone. Later she set up the camera with a circle light on the bar to film him more. It was all very fun to watch and I did not read as much as I usually would.

Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of this. I thought about taking a picture of the photo shoot but thought it might not be appropriate.

This evening there was a good thunderstorm. It was almost like being at the beach and experiencing a thunderstorm. I think it is because there are so few cars where I am living that it is super quiet so the thunder was loud and not interrupted by city noises. Same with the rain, it was loud and fun to listen to in the quiet of the evening.
