When I woke up it was overcast outside but after having breakfast, it started to get sunny. I decided to go amble around the city, which is one of my standard and favorite activities. The city had really come to life after the very windy days that proceeded Saturday. There were lots of people out shopping, sitting at cafes and just wandering as I was doing.
I had some shopping to do as the apartment only had one kitchen towel and nothing to dry dishes on. So I headed over to a store I had found that had inexpensive housewares and got a dish drainer and some kitchen towels. I also do not like the wine glasses so went to Maison Du Monde and bought two wine glasses. At this rate, every Airbnb in Toulouse that I stay in will have two nicer wine glasses.
After shopping, I decided that it would be terrible to waste such a beautiful afternoon. I made a picnic and headed over to the stairs on the River Garonne. I ate my picnic lunch and then read for a couple of hours in the sun. There were lots of people who thought that activity was a good idea, so I had lots of company but it was not crowded.

After enjoying the afternoon, I came back to the apartment and decided it was time to tackle cooking dinner in the apartment. For me it is a challenge as the stove is induction. I learned how to cook on an induction stove the last time I was here but wanted to make sure I could do it on this one.
For dinner, I had a Côte de porc ibérique (a pork chop) but it must be a special cut because when I was buying it, the sales person asked me when I was going to eat it. I said that I was going to eat it tonight and he was willing to sell it to me. Not sure what would have happened if I told him another night. Whatever the reason, it was delicious and very tender. I made sautéed zucchini and had salad as well. Accompanied but a nice glass of Gaillac in my new wine glasses.

My first week in Toulouse is going well and I am enjoying being back.
Someone asked for pictures of the apartment so I have included these.
