The weather has not been ideal in Toulouse since I have been back. Wednesday when I arrived it was beautifully sunny but very windy. Thursday was overcast and the wind had increased so at time it was hard to walk and the run was challenging. Friday I woke up to rain that lasted about half the day, then it was overcast but no wind. When I headed out to go to dinner, the sun came out and there was a lovely sunset. The temperature has been good during the whole time so it was fine to go out.
Since it rained from a large portion of the day, I stayed in the apartment and read. I enjoy running days when you do not feel obligated to do anything and when you have nothing planned.
After the rain stopped, I headed out to walk around the city. I bought another bottle of wine to enjoy. I had not finished the first one but it is always good to have a spare bottle of wine.
As I was walking around late afternoon, I saw a group of people standing on the steps and enjoying a drink and just hanging out. This is one of the things that I like about France. The fact that people gather and enjoy the city. They were watch sunset. (Also, you can drink in public in France)

In the evening, I went to Le Panache for dinner. I had dinner there at least once a week when I was in Toulouse in the fall. It became my favorite place to eat and I got to know the two servers and the chef.

When I walked in one of the staff came over and greeted me like a long lost friend. I got the true French greeting of a kiss on each cheek. He said when he saw my name on the reservations he was excited that I was back. The other server greeted me as well. When the chef came out to get a glass of water, he welcomed me back and said there were new items on the menu that I would like. The chef speaks the best English which is interesting. I feel bad as I cannot communicate as well as I would like with the group as the group does not speak English well and I do not speak French well. We make it work.
The food was delicious as usual. Pictures of the food are below.
