Spending Christmas in Verona was an ideal way to start the new chapter in my life. I hope the new chapter brings many more wonderful adventures and memories. I have been fortunate to have had a wonderful and fulfilled life and this just added to it.

The trip home was uneventful which is always good, flights were on time, baggage made it safely home, passport controls was great (had signed up for Global Entry prior to the trip). 

Just some final pictures of the trip, the Alps out the window of the Air Dolmiti flight from Verona to Frankfurt.

The walk from one flight to another in Frankfurt, the tunnel is marked with airport codes from around the world and the pictures relate to the cities of the codes.

Dulles Airport lit up as I wait for the metro. The metro ride takes longer but if you are not in a hurry, it is a tenth of the cost of an Uber. 

All in all this was a great addition to my travel experiences.
