I did what most Italians do in the evening – the passeggiatta (the evening stroll), and wandered the streets looking at the holiday decorations and enjoying the nice weather and beautiful city. After wandering, I found the Ossetria Romeo and Guiletta and had a lovely dinner of penne e pomodoro for primo piatti (first course) and fesa de vitello (veal filets) for secondi piatti. One big difference is a glass of wine with dinner was 5 Euros – and it was not the house wine. A carafe of house wine would have been 3 Euros for a half liter.
After that is was reading and to bed as the flight and long day getting to Verona required some sleep.
