I am in the Polaris Lounge at Dulles Airport enjoying a nice glass of Champagne while waiting for my flight from Washington to Munich to depart.

I decided to be more adventurous and took the Metro to Dulles. This was a first experience for me and it was very convenient, efficient and inexpensive. It took time – 1 hour 20 minutes but was only $3.

Getting to the terminal from the Metro was easy and about 5 minutes. From there I went to Bag Drop Off and then through Security. That all took about 10 minutes. Then the train ride and walk to the concourse and the Polaris Lounge.

Relaxing with a nice glass of Lanson Champagne and enjoying the first part of my spoiled brat Christmas holiday.

I am doing everything I hate about social media on this trip – I will be telling everyone what I am doing during my trip, I will be posting pictures and just enjoying the experience and sharing it. Everyone can harass me about this as they know I hate social media and believe it is the death of proper civilization.
